This Privacy Policy describes how the Sapot Chat mobile app ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use it. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

Sapot Chat is a customer-support tool used by support agents on behalf of their organization. Most data you encounter in the App (customer conversations, contacts, labels) belongs to your organization's workspace on chat.sapot.ai, not to you personally.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Account information

Your name, email address, and avatar
Authentication credentials (handled by your organization's Sapot Chat server)
Your role and permissions within your workspace

1.2 App usage and device information

Device model, operating system, and app version
Push notification device tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
Language and locale preferences

1.3 Content you handle in the App

Customer conversations, messages, and attachments routed to your workspace
Notes, labels, and assignments you create
Voice recordings you choose to send (when using the voice-message feature)

1.4 Diagnostic data

Crash reports and error logs (via Sentry) — used only to diagnose bugs
Performance metrics

2. How we use information

Authenticate you to your organization's Sapot Chat workspace
Deliver real-time messages and push notifications
Display the conversations, contacts, and labels assigned to your workspace
Diagnose crashes and improve app stability
Comply with legal obligations

3. Third-party services

The App relies on the following services. Their own privacy policies also apply.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

With your organization's Sapot Chat workspace (which you authenticate into)
With the third-party services listed above, strictly to operate the App
When required by law, valid legal process, or to protect rights and safety

5. Data retention

Your account profile is retained as long as your account is active
System and security logs are retained for up to 90 days
Crash and error reports are retained for up to 90 days
Conversations and workspace content are governed by your organization's retention policy on the Sapot Chat server

6. Your rights

You may:

Request access to the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your account — see our Account Deletion page
Opt out of push notifications via your device settings or in-app preferences
Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent

7. Children

Sapot Chat is a workplace tool intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under this age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Traffic between the App and Sapot Chat servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS / TLS). Authentication tokens are stored in the device's secure storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we work to apply industry-standard safeguards.

9. International transfers

Information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate, including outside your country of residence. Where required by law, we put in place safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy.
